Peygamber (sa), Şeytanın Sürat Suresi'nin okunduğu bir evden kaçtığını söyledi. (Müslüman 780) Ayrıca sihirbazların bu sureyle yüzleşemeyeceğini de söyledi. (Müslüman 804)

Ayrıca, bazı spesifik ayatların erdemlerine ya da bu surenin bölümlerine dikkat çekti.

Örneğin, “Biri geceleri Surat el Baqarah'ın son iki ayetini okuduysa, bu onun için yeterli olacak” dedi. (Buhari 5009)

İbn Katir, Darimi'nin Sha'bi'nin İbn Mas'ud'a anlattığı kaydını şöyle aktarır: “Bir gecede Surat El Baqarah'tan on Ayat okuyan kişi, o geceki Şeytan o gece evine girmeyecektir: en başından dört, Ayat Al-Kursi ( 255), aşağıdaki iki Ayat (256-257) ve son üç Ayat. ”(İbn Kathir)
